Casey G. Johnson, CPA, CVA, MBA - Principal
Casey is from Hilmar, California. He graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 1984 and received his MBA (Taxation) from Golden Gate University. Casey has over 35 years of experience in the preparation of individual, small business, medium size business, as well as multi-state business income tax returns. He also has extensive experience in the preparation of income tax returns for estates and trusts.
In 2014, Casey earned the distinct designation as a Certified Valuation Analyst. This certification allows him to not only provide litigation support and forensic accounting services but to be officially recognized as an expert in the court of law and provide expert witness testimony. He has been recognized as an expert in 6 different counties and has testified as an expert witness over 100 times in various litigation matters.
Casey is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Michelle N. Matos, CPA, MBA - Principal
Michelle is a Modesto native with over 10 years of accounting and income tax preparation experience. She graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 2008 with her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and received her MBA in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 2013. She is the Company's attestation partner with expertise in all financial reporting. In addition, Michelle oversees the company's accounting services department including electronic data processing (QuickBooks, Peach Tree, Creative Solutions) as well as compliance filings such as payroll processing, sales tax, worker's compensation, excise tax, and use tax.
Michelle is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Modesto Rotary, and serves as Board Treasurer for the Stanislaus Health Foundation, Board Treasurer for the Modesto Rotary Club Foundation and as an active Board Member of the Haven Women's Center.
Mark Jordan, CPA
Mark is a Modesto resident with 40 years of accounting and income tax preparation experience. He graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from CSU Stanislaus in 1977 and earned his CPA license in 1983. Mark specializes in tax preparation services for individuals and small to mid-size businesses. He provided these services at a firm that he owned with his wife, Julie, for 30 years prior to merging with our firm. In addition to providing tax services, Mark is an avid biker and will frequently embark on cross country rides.
Mark is a lifetime member and past president of the Modesto 500 Lions Club.
Julie Jordan, CPA
Julie is a Modesto resident with 40 years of accounting and income tax preparation experience. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from CSU Stanislaus in 1979 and earned her CPA license in 1982. She, along with her husband Mark, owned their own accounting firm in Modesto for 30 years prior to merging with our firm. Her areas of expertise are in small to medium-sized businesses and individual tax preparation with a specialty in trust and estate tax filings. When she's not working, Julie is very family oriented and takes pride in involving herself in all of her grandkids' activities.
Alejandra Rangel - Staff Accountant
Alejandra is a resident of Hughson, California. She graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 2017 with a Bachelors in Accounting. She is currently studying to sit for the California Unified CPA Exam and plans to pursue a Masters Degree in Accounting. Alejandra also has prior bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation experience and assists in all areas of the professional practice.
Anna Jaime - Staff Accountant
Anna is a resident of Modesto and graduated from California State University, Stanislaus in 2017 with her Bachelors in Accounting. She is currently studying to sit for the California Unified CPA Exam. She assists in all areas of the professional practice.
Jolene Yarnell - Accounting Services
Jolene is a resident of Hilmar and graduate of Valley Commercial College where she received her certificate in accounting. Jolene comes from an agricultural background stemming from her family's business. She handles the firm's Accounting Services department and is a full charge bookkeeper with over 20 years of experience. She is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, with specialties in QuickBooks setup, QuickBooks training, bookkeeping services, payroll services and sales tax services. Jolene takes great pride in providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Anne DeHart - Accounting Services
Anne is a Modesto resident with over 30 years of experience providing excellent bookkeeping service at another small accounting firm before joining our team. She is a full charge bookkeeper providing day to day bookkeeping services, primarily utilizing Quickbooks. She also assists with year end adjustments and quarterly compliance filings such as payroll and sales tax.
Juliann Faria - Accounting Servces
Juliann is a Hilmar native with 10 years of experience in bookkeeping services. She began as a private bookkeeper before joining our team. She works part time in our Accounting Services department providing support in all areas from monthly reconciliations to quarterly reporting preparation.
Marie Walker - Accounting Services
Marie is a Modesto resident with over 10 years of experience in bookkeeping. She works part time in our Accounting Services department and assists in all areas. Marie also spends a good deal of time maintaining all financial records and assisting in running her family's business.
Kylie Souza - Accounting Services
Kylie is a Hilmar resident with several years of experience in private bookkeeping. She has joined our team as a full time member of the Accounting Services department. She specializes in providing day to day bookkeeping and monthly and year end reconciliations utilizing Quickbooks. Kylie has a natural understanding of the bookkeeping process and is an integral part of our Accounting Services department.
Liz McCullough - Administrative Assistant
Liz is a Modesto resident and joined our team in 2017. She is primarily responsible for initial client contacts, scheduling, and correspondence. She is also responsible for providing all support functions for the firm's administrative staff. Liz is available to assist with all client requests.
Kaleena Conrad - Administrative Assistant
Kaleena is a California native having spent time living in various locations in the Bay Area and Central Valley before settling in Modesto. She has 10 years of experience working as an administrative assistant in an accounting firm. Prior to joining our firm, Kaleena was solely responsible for all things administrative and client relations at a prior firm so we know that she will be able to provide excellent customer service. She has two children who keep her busy outside of the office.
